A higher level of care
Foundation unveils
Kadlec Life Income Fund
A unique way to give a charitable gift while receiving interest income for life,
tax bene ts and leaving a legacy.
KADLEC FOUNDATION
recently
announced the formation of a
new pooled income fund called
K-LIFE (Kadlec Life Income Fund).
Kadlec is one of several health care
institutions across the country to
secure an IRS Private Letter Ruling
to begin this program. K-LIFE
benefits both the participants and
Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
How it works
K-LIFE takes advantage of tax laws
developed to encourage and reward
philanthropy. Donors contribute
assets including cash, marketable
securities and real estate to K-LIFE.
These assets are used to purchase
units of K-LIFE, which are pooled
to invest in income-producing real
estate (including medical buildings).
Benefit to donors
By participating in K-LIFE, donors
may receive personal financial
benefits such as:
Providing a lifetime income at
an increasing rate, starting at
6 percent
Avoiding capital gains and possibly
reducing estate tax
Receiving highly advantageous tax
deduction
Ability to benefit from your legacy
during your lifetime
